What Are Thoughts Made Of?

What Are Thoughts Made Of?
Every generation has its built in assumptions, the world is flat or round. There are hundreds of hidden assumptions which we take for granted that may or may not be true, of course as historically we have found that the vast majority of these assumptions about the world turn out to be untrue. Often we are locked into these precepts without even knowing it. That’s a paradigm. Is everyone a mystery? Is everyone an enigma? We certainly are. The real trick to life is not to be in the know but to be in the mystery. Recreating The Same Reality Why do we keep recreating the same reality? why keep having the same relationships and jobs over and over again? In this infinite sea of potentials that exist around us, how come we keep recreating the same realities? Isn’t it amazing that we have options and potentials that exist but we are unaware of them. Is it possible we are so conditioned to our daily lives, so conditioned to the way we create our lives, that we buy the idea that we have no control at all? We have been conditioned to believe that the external world is more real than the internal world. What if what is happening within us will create what is happening outside of ourselves? Petscan Brain Activity Scientific experiments have shown that if we take a person and hook their brains up to certain petscans. Then ask them to look at a certain object and through the petscans watch certain areas of the brain light up. Then they ask them to close their eyes and then imagine that same object, they found that it produced the same areas of the brain to light up as if they were actually visually looking at the object. So does the brain see or the eyes see? Processing Information The brain processes 400 Billion bits of information per second. But we are only aware of about 2000 bits of information, so our awareness is generally only about our environment, our body and about time We are living in a world where all we see is the tip of the iceberg. The classical tip of an immense quantum mechanical iceberg. What Is Reality? Is reality what we see with our brain or what we are seeing with our eyes? The truth is that the brain does not know the difference between what it sees in its environment and what it remembers because the same neurons nets are firing. So it asks the question what is reality? Information Bombardment We are bombarded by huge amounts of information, and its coming into our body and processing it coming in through our sensory organs, percolating up and up, in steps and we are eliminating information and finally what is bubbling up to consciousness is the one which is the most self-serving. Sensory Regions Of The Brain Certain parts of the brain govern specific functions. As per above diagram, areas such as the sensory (orange), motor (blue) and visual cortex (yellow). The cerebellum (pink) for coordination and the hippocampus (green) for memory. Nerve cells or neurons connect one area to another via pathways to send and integrate information. The distances that neurons extend can be short or long. For example, the reward pathway (orange). This pathway is activated when a person receives positive reinforcement for certain behaviours ("reward"), e.g. when a person takes an addictive drug. The thalamus (magenta) receives information about pain coming from the body (magenta line within the spinal cord), and passes the information up to the cortex. Visual Vortex Our eyes are like the lens. But the tape which is seeing really seeing at the back of the brain it’s called visual cortex. Brain Imprints It is like a camera with its tape. The brain imprints only the ability it has to see. The only movie which is playing in the brain is what we have to ability to see. So it is possible that our eyes, as are cameras, have the possibility to see more than what our brain has the ability to consciously project. The way our brain is wired up we only see what we believe is possible. We match pattern what already exists within ourselves through conditioning. Brain’s Environment Or Memory The brain does not know the difference between what it sees in it’s environment and what it remembers. How can you continue to see the world as real if the self that is determining it to be real is intangible? Are Realities Existing Simultaneously? Is there a possibility that all realities exist side by side? Have you ever seen yourself through the eyes of who you have become, and looked at yourself through the ultimate observer? Creating The Effects of Reality We create the effects of reality all the time. We always perceive of something after reflection in the mirror of memory. We Are The Observer We are always the observer in science, so we are still constrained by what is ultimately coming into the human brain, which allows us to see and perceive what we do. Is What We See Just An Illusion? So it is conceivable that all that we see is just an illusion? That we have no way of getting out of to see what is really out there. Our brain doesn’t know the difference between what is taking place out there and what is taking place in here. There is no difference of what is going out there, independent of what is going on in here.
