Cognitive Dissonance
Cognitive Dissonance
Cognitive dissonance refers to the mental conflict that occurs when a person’s behaviours and beliefs do not align. It may also happen when a person holds two beliefs that contradict one another.
This can cause feelings of discomfort, unease and tension, so an individual will attempt to relieve this discomfort in different ways and participates in an action that goes against one or more of them.
The discomfort is triggered by the person's belief clashing with new information perceived, wherein they try to find a way to resolve the contradiction to reduce their discomfort. The person will generally then "explain things away” or reject new information that conflicts with their existing beliefs. This drive to resolve dissonance is called the “principle of cognitive consistency.”. It is important to note that cognitive dissonance is not automatic when a person holds opposing beliefs. They must have an awareness of the inconsistency to feel discomfort. Not everyone experiences cognitive dissonance to the same degree. Some people have a higher tolerance for uncertainty and inconsistency and may experience less cognitive dissonance than those who require consistency.
Other Factors
Other factors that affect the degree of cognitive dissonance a person experiences include:
1) The Type Of Beliefs
Beliefs that are more personal lead to more significant dissonance.
2) The Value Of The Beliefs
Beliefs that people hold in high regard tend to cause greater dissonance.
3) The Size Of The Disparity
A substantial disparity between conflicting and harmonious beliefs will result in more dissonance.
4) The Magnitude Of Dissonance
The magnitude of dissonance determines the level of discomfort caused to the person. This can be caused by the relationship between two differing internal beliefs, or an action that is incompatible with the beliefs of the person. The two factors determine the degree of psychological dissonance caused by two conflicting cognition's or by two conflicting actions: The greater the personal value of the elements, the greater the magnitude of the dissonance in the relation. When the value of the importance of the two dissonant items is high, it is difficult to determine which action or thought is correct.
5) The Ratio of Cognition
The ratio of cognition's is the proportion of dissonant-to-consonant elements. There is a level of discomfort within each person that is acceptable for living.
6) The Comfort Zone
When a person is within that comfort level, the dissonant factors do not interfere with functioning. However, when dissonant factors are abundant and not enough in line with each other, the person goes through a process to regulate and bring the ratio back to an acceptable level. Once a subject chooses to keep one of the dissonant factors, they person will quickly forget the other to restore peace of mind.
7) Justification
A person tends to make changes to justify the stressful behaviour, either by: a) Rationalisation By adding new parts to the cognition causing the psychological dissonance b) Confirmation Bias By avoiding circumstances and contradictory information likely to increase the magnitude of the cognitive dissonance c) Prioritising When the ideals or actions clash the person subjectively, find it difficult to decide which takes priority. d) Coping Coping with the nuances of contradictory ideas or experiences is mentally stressful. It requires energy and effort to sit with those seemingly opposite things that all seem true. So people tend to resolve dissonance by blindly believing whatever they wanted to believe.
e) Changing Behaviours
People will justify their behaviour or the cognition, by changing the conflicting cognition ("I'm allowed to cheat my diet every once in a while.") . Or adding new behaviours or cognition's ("I'll spend thirty extra minutes at the gymnasium to work off the doughnut." Or by ignoring or denying information that conflicts with existing beliefs ("This doughnut is not a high-sugar food.")
Reduction Of Cognitive Dissonance
People seek psychological consistency between their expectations of life and the existential reality of the world. To function by that expectation of existential consistency, people continually reduce their cognitive dissonance in order to align their cognition's (perceptions of the world) with their actions.
Holding On To Biases
Three cognitive biases are components of dissonance theory. The bias that one does not have any biases, the bias that one is "better, kinder, smarter, more moral and nicer than average" and confirmation bias. People may facilitate their functioning in the real world by employing human categories (i.e. sex and gender, age and race, etc.) with which they manage their social interactions with other people.
Subconscious Mind Programs
The subconscious mind is very powerful, yet 95% of our everyday life is dictated by subconscious programs and for thousands of years the controllers of the narrative have dictated these subconscious programs.
There are many things that have been hidden from the public for eons. Coming to terms with the notion that almost everything we've been taught has been a lie our entire lives, could bring the physical body to failure. A mind filled with control subconscious programs is a very powerful matrix net which holds a low vibrational being together, but when confronted with higher vibrational light frequency it simply dissipates.
Revelations
The real truths are beginning to reveal themselves at a rapid pace right now. Of how the matrix world works to subjugate and enslave the populations. These truths are not what has been taught over the ages through education, health, religion, ideologies, financial, mainstream media, political institutions These subjective mind programs are activating alarming cognitive dissonance to those who have been indoctrinated to differing degrees. The human population is awakening to the truth in shifts.
Current Acceleration Of Cognitive Dissonance Behaviour
Some have awakened sometime ago, many have awakened very recently as they observe the illogical decision making and enforcements of behaviours through imposing mandatory social distancing, travel restrictions, vaccinations, business closures, etc.
The human awakening process is gaining ground as more mandatory enforcements are being imposed on them and in correlation those not yet fully awakened are experiencing rapid cognitive dissonance as the world changes around them so fast.
The Divine Plan of Awakening
So to those who have awakened to differing degrees, understanding this Divine Plan of awakening and higher consciousness, is developing as per the plan and not necessarily to your desires. Therefore those unawakened will go through much cognitive dissonance to compensate for their illusions. Be aware of this necessary process and don't get frustrated or irritated by those who don't see or sense it right now. All will awaken, but for some sharp shocks to their system of beliefs have to be exposed to them through their limited lens of knowledge and access to information which they have been accustomed to. Simply observe the outer changes which you cannot control and focus on your own journey of awakening and higher consciousness.
